A team from the British High Commission (BHC) visited the Africa Centre for the Abandonment of FGM/C (ACCAF) supported health model facility in Nairagie Enkare, Narok County, where healthcare professionals are leading efforts to prevent and respond to FGM.
The visit provided a unique opportunity for the BHC team to interact directly with healthcare workers and clients at key service delivery points, including antenatal care, maternity, and child wellness clinics.
The team also met students from Egerton University, who are actively involved in ACCAF’s end-FGM curriculum. This initiative equips future health professionals with the knowledge and skills to support women and girls at risk of FGM and address FGM-related complications effectively.
